I was always told that the new cap badge, that of the King’s Royal Hussars was based on the look of the cap badge of the 14th Hussars. The aim was to bring it back in time to what you see in this photograph. I see no resemblance what so ever other than the return of the FR in the chest? Am I mistaken?
