
The 14th (King’s) Hussars took part in all the battles leading up to the Relief of Ladysmith (2nd November 1899 – 27th February 1900).
The 14th (King’s) Hussars were part of General Sir Redvers Buller’s army that forced Louis Botha’s Boers to lift their siege of the town.
This photograph shows the 14th Hussars leaving Maitland Camp which was located in Cape Town.
