A Recruiting Poster for the 14th King’s Hussars, circa 1920.
Although undated, battle honours from the First World War are used and it also pre-dates the amalgamation with the 20th Hussars in 1922 so must come from the window between 1919 – 1922.
The cap badge shown is the Royal Crest as the Prussian Eagle or ‘Hawk’ had to be discontinued during the war. It was re-introduced following amalgamation.
The 14th/20th Hussars remained horsed cavalry until mechanisation in 1938.
