The National Memorial Arboretum

The positioning of the new 14th/20th King’s Hussars memorial at the arboretum couldn’t be better. It is placed just on the right of the footpath as you walk to towards the main armed forces memorial in the centre of the establishment, next to that of the King’s Royal Hussars if you have seen that before?

Funds towards the making, placing and upkeep of this magnificent tribute were mainly raised by Darren and Rachel Walker. For those that do not know Darren he served in the Regimental Band. I do not know how long they worked to get this project completed but I know it was a fair few years and they put their heart and soul into it overcoming many obstacles in their path. They should both be congratulated on this wonderful achievement.

Walking around the arboretum I also found other tributes to the regiment this includes on to their service in Cyprus.

For those interested I did a Vlog on my visit and will include a link to it.

If you have not visited it yet it comes highly recommended.
